How much revenue does fal make?
fal (fal.ai) runs AI models that make images, video and audio, and charges developers every time one runs. It does not publish revenue. Bloomberg reported on Nov 3, 2026 that fal "hit $800 million in annualized revenue earlier this year," citing a person familiar with the matter (via Investing.com). Every figure we found:

Annualized revenue = the current pace multiplied out over 12 months, not revenue already collected. The sources do not all use the same label (ARR, annualized revenue, revenue), and fal has not confirmed any of them. Bloomberg did not give the month of the $800M figure.
How fast is fal growing?
On the reported figures, about 8x since July 2025: $95M ARR in July 2025, more than $200M by October 2025, $400M by March 2026 and $800M at some point later in 2026 (our math on the figures above). The October to March step was a doubling in about five months.
The constraint is compute, not customers. CEO Burkay Gur told Bloomberg: "We hit a point in summer where we were not able to serve our customers and had to rate limit them." fal says the new money goes to "the inference capacity to run these models at scale and the team to build what comes next" (fal blog, Nov 2026). It had 185 employees, per Bloomberg.

fal announced the Series E and F together on Nov 3, 2026 as $1.65B combined and did not state either valuation (fal blog). Our math: valuation up about 10x in 15 months ($1.5B to $16B), and $16B is about 20x the reported $800M annualized revenue.
How does fal make money?
It is pay-per-output. A developer building an AI video or image app calls a model through fal's API and pays for what comes out. Prices on fal's pricing page (read Nov 4, 2026):
- Video: billed per second of output, for example $0.07 a second for Kling 2.5 Turbo Pro image-to-video and $0.14 a second for Kling v3 Pro; MiniMax H3 Max Turbo from $0.015 a second.
- Images: per image or per megapixel, for example $0.08 an image for Nano Banana 2, $0.15 for Nano Banana Pro, and $0.003 a megapixel for FLUX.1 [schnell].
- Audio: per 1,000 characters or per second, for example $0.10 per 1,000 characters for ElevenLabs Multilingual v2.
- GPUs: custom deployments from $2.49 an hour for an H100 (list price $4.50).
fal is also a distribution channel for model labs: Bessemer describes it as two-sided, with developers getting thousands of models through one API and labs using fal to reach them (Bessemer, Nov 3, 2026). Bloomberg reported that some arrangements with model makers include licensing fees or revenue share.
Who are fal's customers?
Bessemer says many of the world's largest companies, "like Adobe, Canva, Shopify, World Labs, Amazon, and more, have moved production volume to fal." fal's pricing page says it is trusted by over 2.5 million developers. Back in July 2025, its investor Kindred Ventures counted 1,000,000+ developers and 100+ enterprise customers with a 38-person team (Jul 31, 2025).
Is fal profitable?
fal has not said. The caution from TechCrunch's Nov 3 report: inference companies including Baseten, Fireworks AI and Modal "have also been growing rapidly," but "their gross margins remain thin because of the high cost of buying or leasing compute," according to people familiar with their financials (TechCrunch). That is about the category, not a fal figure.
What does fal mean for making money with AI?
fal is the shovel seller behind a lot of AI video and image apps: when a faceless video tool or an AI headshot app gets a paying user, a model call somewhere gets paid for. That doubled its $8 billion valuation from April 2026. fal itself announced $1.65 billion raised across its Series E and F on Nov 3, 2026 but did not state a valuation. What does fal do?
It runs AI image, video, audio and 3D models in the cloud and sells access through one API. Developers call models like Kling, Seedance, MiniMax, Nano Banana and ElevenLabs on fal and pay per output: per second of video, per image or megapixel, or per 1,000 characters of speech. It also rents GPUs for custom models, with H100s listed from $2.49 an hour (fal pricing page, read Nov 4, 2026).
Who uses fal?
Bessemer names Adobe, Canva, Shopify, World Labs and Amazon among companies that moved production volume to fal (Nov 3, 2026). fal says entertainment studios, ad agencies, e-commerce brands, game developers and marketing teams run its models in production, and its pricing page says over 2.5 million developers use it.
Is fal profitable?
fal has not said. TechCrunch reported on Nov 3, 2026 that inference companies like Baseten, Fireworks AI and Modal are growing fast but their gross margins remain thin because buying or leasing compute is expensive, per people familiar with their financials. fal's CEO told Bloomberg it had to rate limit customers in the summer because demand outran its compute.
