MRR, active subscriptions and the 30-day MRR change: each company's TrustMRR listing (Superwall, RevenueCat, Stripe). PropGPT checked Nov 4, 2026; the other seven checked Nov 5, 2026. The 30-day change is the figure on the public profile read Nov 5, 2026, which can be a few hours newer than the case-page MRR. Rank is on our leaderboard of 58 businesses with payment data synced in the last 30 days (median $22,000). Combined: $306,000 a month from 47,000 subscriptions (our calc.). "Consumer apps" is our market tag, not the same filter as AI mobile apps: Talefy is in this table and is not a mobile app, and Verbi is a mobile app we tag as Education. See how we verify and tag.

Which AI consumer app makes the most money?

It depends which number you mean.

  • Recurring revenue: PropGPT. $105,000 MRR from 2,600 subscriptions, $97,100 in the last 30 days and $1,030,000 all-time (Superwall via TrustMRR, Nov 4, 2026). It sells AI sports-prop analysis at $9.99 a week. That weekly price is about $43 a month if someone stays subscribed ($9.99 × 52 / 12, our calc.), close to the ~$40 we get from MRR divided by subscriptions. The founder has 211 X followers on the listing, so this is not an audience business. Full breakdown: PropGPT case study.
  • All-time revenue: Project A. $9,620,000 all-time and $59,800 MRR from 8,300 subscriptions (RevenueCat via TrustMRR, Nov 5, 2026). It is an AI fortune-telling and astrology app. The listing claims 50 million downloads and about 1 million active users (founder-provided, not verified). The website and full founder name are hidden. It is listed for sale at $5,000,000 (seller's asking price).
  • Subscribers: Nutria (Calyra). 15,700 subscriptions at about $3 each, $46,800 MRR. It is a calorie tracker (App Store name Calyra), founded July 2025. The founder says traffic is organic TikTok (founder statement on the listing, not verified).

Do AI consumer apps make money?

Yes. October 2026 cash collected, a full month, was $418,000 across the 8 (our calc. from the monthly totals below), against $306,000 of current MRR. Cash and MRR are different numbers: MRR is the subscription run rate, and a yearly or weekly charge shows up in cash when it is paid.

Where the case page already says why cash runs ahead of MRR, we repeat that and do not add a cause:

  • Brawler collected $44,700 in the last 30 days against $23,900 MRR. The case page flags yearly plans ($59.99/year on the listing).
  • AbMaxx collected $39,000 against $20,600 MRR. Same flag: yearly plans.
  • Project A collected $98,300 against $59,800 MRR. The case page reads that as weekly or top-up billing. Plan prices are not on the public profile.
  • Goodie AI is the other way: $4,600 in the last 30 days against $11,500 MRR, and October cash was $5,500. The listing does not explain the gap. We do not guess.

Per subscription, six of the eight average about $3 to $7 a month (our calc.). The two that clear $10 are PropGPT (~$40) and Talefy (~$30). Talefy lists prices "from $1.99", so the average means many customers pay more than the entry price (our read of the average, not a plan list). Compare that with tools that sell to businesses: AI developer tools and AI sales tools charge far more per customer and need far fewer of them. The consumer price ladder is in the AI app pricing study and cheap AI apps that make real money.

How has AI consumer app revenue moved?

Verified cash by month (UTC). October is a full month. November 2026 is partial on this read, so it is not in the table.

Monthly verified revenue from each company's public TrustMRR profile, read Nov 5, 2026. October is a full month.

  • PropGPT peaked at $108,000 in May 2026. October closed at $100,000, the first month back over $100k since May. MRR on the Nov 5 profile was +25.0% over 30 days.
  • Project A is the steady one: every full month from December 2025 through September 2026 landed between $82,200 (February 2026) and $94,800 (January 2026). October was $103,000, the high of that window. MRR was -0.1% over 30 days.
  • Nutria (Calyra) jumped to $120,000 in August, then October was $77,600, about 35% below August (our calc.). MRR was flat (-0.0%).
  • Brawler, founded May 2026, went from $4,200 in May to $48,500 in October, about 11.7x (our calc.). September and October were almost the same.
  • AbMaxx went from $1,400 in April to $53,100 in September, about 39x (our calc.), then $42,800 in October. MRR was still +13.3% over 30 days.
  • Imposter AI peaked at $44,700 in August and collected $20,600 in October. MRR was about flat (-0.2%).
  • Talefy, founded May 2023, collected $54,500 in Dec 2025 and $19,600 in October, about 36% of that December (our calc.). MRR was -14.0% over 30 days. It is the oldest business here and the one that is shrinking.
  • Goodie AI collected $23,100 in Feb 2026 and $5,500 in October, about 24% of February (our calc.), the lowest full month of 2026 on the public profile. MRR was -9.6% over 30 days.

Are AI consumer apps profitable?

We only show profit where the founder published it. 7 of the 8 list a 30-day profit margin on TrustMRR (founder-entered, not verified by a processor, read Nov 5, 2026):

  • PropGPT: 80%
  • Project A: 51%
  • Nutria (Calyra): 80%
  • Brawler: 50%
  • Imposter AI: 40%
  • AbMaxx: 40%
  • Goodie AI: 50%

Median of those 7 is 50% (our calc.). Talefy does not list one. A margin on a listing is not a profit number we can audit: TrustMRR does not connect costs. Margins for every ranked business that publishes one: profitable AI startups. Real profit numbers are coming: see what's next.

Which of these AI consumer apps are for sale?

BusinessMRRAsking price (seller)
Project A$59,800$5,000,000
Nutria (Calyra)$46,800$1,500,000
Brawler$23,900$200,000
Imposter AI$20,600$300,000
AbMaxx$20,600$1,000,000
Goodie AI$11,500$100,000

Asking prices are what the seller lists on TrustMRR, read Nov 5, 2026, not our valuation. PropGPT and Talefy are not listed for sale. More listings: AI businesses for sale with real revenue.

How many subscribers does an AI consumer app need for $10k a month?

  • PropGPT: about 250 paying subscribers at ~$40 each.
  • Talefy: about 330 paying subscribers at ~$30 each.
  • Project A: about 1,400 paying subscribers at ~$7 each.
  • Brawler: about 2,000 paying subscribers at ~$5 each.
  • Imposter AI: about 2,500 paying subscribers at ~$4 each.
  • AbMaxx: about 2,500 paying subscribers at ~$4 each.
  • Nutria (Calyra): about 3,300 paying subscribers at ~$3 each.
  • Goodie AI: about 3,300 paying subscribers at ~$3 each.

Our calc. from verified MRR divided by active subscriptions (PropGPT checked Nov 4, 2026; the other seven checked Nov 5, 2026). A $10 weekly sports app needs a few hundred subscribers. A $3 calorie tracker needs a few thousand. That is why the distribution channel is the business: where the founder listed one, it is TikTok, Instagram, Meta ads, influencers or app-store search (founder-listed on TrustMRR, not verified). Project A: Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads. Nutria (Calyra): TikTok. Brawler: Meta Ads and influencers. Imposter AI: content, Instagram, TikTok, app-store search. AbMaxx: Instagram, TikTok, Meta Ads. Goodie AI: TikTok, Meta Ads, Instagram. PropGPT and Talefy do not list a channel. More: does TikTok work for AI apps? and do Meta ads work for AI apps?

Is an AI consumer app a good business in 2026?

It can be, if you already know a narrow job people pay for in an app store: a bet, a reading, a calorie log, a workout, a party game, a story. The pattern in this set is a low price, a lot of subscribers, and a channel that is not the founder's personal audience. The catches are in the same rows. 6 of the 8 are listed for sale. Goodie AI's cash is down to a fraction of its February peak. Talefy's monthly cash has fallen since December 2025. PropGPT sits in sports betting, which has app-store and legal risk (flag on its case page). Four of the eight are health or fitness apps (Nutria (Calyra), Brawler, AbMaxx, Goodie AI); we are not publishing a separate health roundup. Our case verdicts: PropGPT "Partly", Project A "Hard", Nutria (Calyra) "Partly", Brawler "Yes", Imposter AI "Yes", AbMaxx "Yes", Talefy "Partly", Goodie AI "Yes". Eight businesses is a small sample. Treat it as a signal.

This page is the consumer-app market (our tag). The mobile-app list is a different filter: AI mobile apps and their revenue. Verbi, an AI language tutor, is a mobile app we count under AI education businesses.
