The story

TypingMind started as a weekend project: a better UI for the ChatGPT API. In his October 2025 newsletter, Tony Dinh wrote that it was making about $130–160k a month, with recurring B2B Team revenue now over half of that.

He says most sales come from word of mouth; a recent paid ad campaign cost $600 for two conversions.

He credits TypingMind with making him financially independent for the past two years.

On Jan 1, 2026 he posted that 2025 closed with an all-time high of $210K+ revenue in December, 8,000+ new customers and 150+ shipped updates.

Our verdict

Replicable?

Partly

Being early with a polished wrapper mattered. Today the lesson is product quality + B2B upsell, not "build a wrapper".
